My ground is more clayish than loam, however this year I will be composting, so that should get even better. Now, I waited till 2 days after we had a good 2 inch rain. My wife said the plugs looked like a shower behind the implement as I sped across the yard.

It would take me 3 days, as my aerator was a 12' path. Aerating 3 acres with a Push Aerator was a real chore, especially if I wanted to do it 2 times a year. I have 3 acres, all St Augustine, that I love to work on and make it look awesome. If you would rather winterize your aerator, add in ASC # 33470 RV and Marine antifreeze to prevent the water from freezing. Remember to drain your drum for the winter.
